BRAVEHEARTS COMBAT CUP - KICKBOXING CHAMPIONSHIP, MUMBAI 30 - 31 MAR 2024
Bravehearts Combat Cup – 2024 was held in Nerul Gymkhana, Mumbai on 30 and 31 March 2024. This was exclusively a kickboxing event. The event was hosted by Combatant Sports Academy, Navi Mumbai and was partnered by FIT INDIA. The event was organized and supported by National Combat Sports Federation.
The event saw 3 states participating with over 100 athletes vying for a podium finish in various categories from 7+ years to adult (senior) men and women. West Bengal put up a strong team of around 11 athletes, while Maharashtra had the biggest contingent from several clubs in and around Mumbai. Gujrat, although the smallest team, was indeed very good and walked away with two golds, one silver and one bronze.

NCSF ORGANISES KYOKUSHIN KARATE KATA SEMINAR 03 MAR 2024
NCSF organised a kata training seminar for affiliate academy students. The training curriculum for this seminar started with beginners (white belts) and went up to instructor level (black belt and above). Sensei Sankhadeb Bhattacharya took the mantle of lead trainer for the seminar. Our heartfelt thanks to Sensei Krishna Bera (Founder Thakurpukur PH Karate Association) who hosted this event.
The training seminar was supervised by Sensei Somnath Chandra (Branch Chief - IKO Matsushima). The organization also took this opportunity to present to Sensei Krishna Bera his 3rd Dan Black Belt and International Judging & Refereeing Certificate.

NCSF ORGANISES KICKBOXING TRAINING CAMP 11 FEB 2024
NCSF Organised a training program for affiliate members and their students specifically for the KICK LIGHT event of Kickboxing. This is in preparation for the upcoming event in Mumbai on 30 - 31 March 2024. The training program turned out to be as much fun as it was instructive, with participants across all age groups enjoying all the activities.
Special emphasis was also paid on point system, foul techniques, allowed techniques, safety gear and fight uniform of the KICK LIGHT event. The training program focused on what was needed to prepare a student for competition.
This NCSF training program was headed by Sensei Mayukh Banerjee with support from Sensei Debadisankar Bhattacharjee, Sensei Sankhadeb Bhattacharya and Sensei Arshad Hussain.
NCSF management promised that they will continue to hold such training programs frequently for the upgradation of all members and their students completely free of cost.
EMPOWERMENT ACADEMY OF MARTIAL ARTS MUMBAI CREATES HISTORY 10 FEB 2024
EAM (EMPOWERMENT ACADEMY OF MARTIAL ARTS), our first member from Mumbai, created history by being the first Academy to award its members Kyokushin Karate Gradation Test Certificates authorised by NCSF.
A hearty round of congratulations to Sensei ANKUR DEY, and all his students from EMPOWERMENT ACADEMY OF MARTIAL ARTS, MUMBAI for this grand feat.
NIEPID ANNUAL SPORTS DAY - 25 JANUARY 2024
National Institute for the Empowerment of Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (NIEPID) is an autonomous body under Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Govt. of India. The Insititue has made striking advances in building capacities to empower persons with Intellectual Disabilities for over 36 years.
NIEPID held their annual sports day on 25 Jan 2024, with over 250 children with Intellectual Disabilities as participants. Representatives from NCSF were invited as Guests of Honour to grace the occasion. Among the attending members we re Sensei Somnath Chandra, Sensei Mayukh Banerjee, Sensei Sankhadeb Bhattacharya and Yogi Suvasish Nandi.
The event was a memorable one for Team NCSF. The motivation and with which the young trainees and senior teaching staff of NIEPID conducted their duties was truly amazing to watch. It was inspiring to watch how children and young adults with Intellectual Disabilities were being helped by NIEPID to overcome their challenges and live a good life.

NCSF MEETING - 10 JANUARY 2024
NCSF Members got together to hold the associations first monthly meeting of 2024. A large number of senior Sensei's from various Dojos across West Bengal and Maharashtra were present for this meeting. The meeting started with an hour and a half of training across several martial arts. This was followed by a presentation and action plan for the upcoming year. It was a great start indeed to the New Year.
